Well I got a little stamping in over the weekend. I made a few cards. First I made a thank you card for a dear friend and customer. She was my 1st online order. She lives in the small town of Strawberry, so I broke out my knobby gnomes set. I know it's a retired set, but I couldn't give it up. I think these gnomes are so cute.
I need to work on my photos. This is not a very good picture. It doesn't do my little gnome justice.
I used sahara sand, always artichoke and basic black. I colored my little gnome with my Prismacolor™ Pencils and gamsol. I was real pleasedwith the way it turned out. I hope she likes it.
The next card I made was for my aunt. She had major surgey and will be laid up for a few months. I teased her that we were going to find her watching t.v. and eating bon bons.
This was my attempt at bon bons.

but what the hey. This is another retired set that I can't let go.
I tried out the scallop edge medallion tutorial on splitcoaststamper. It was so easy and makes for a great element on the card. I put crystal effects on the brown part of the candy to give it a glossy look. I used my new swiss dot embossing folder. I have waited for ever to get this folder. For months I would check Michaels and Jo-Anns; nothing and if they did have folders they were old ones, Jo-Anns would have very few new folders. But not the one I wanted. So one day I was reading a post on splitcoaststampers about a company that give 40% coupons to their VIP customers. Well to make a long story short I finally order it from Cut@home along with my rectangle nestabilities.
Back to my card, I used chocolate chip, of course what else would I have used; a little pretty in pink and a retired dp.
Now on the inside I made spiral pop-ups. Two techniques on one card. I was on a roll, spiral that is.
I know, I know, bad joke. Well here is the inside.

Well that's all I have for right now. I've got a couple of Halloween cards I made. I'll share those with you in my next post.
Thanks for stopping by.

Of course I love it! My parents collected gnomes so it had an extra special meaning. And hold a strawberry - who would have thought!
Great job on the inside of this card! I love the idea...I might have to try it! And the colors are perfect!
