Hello all out there in blogger land. It's been awhile, I know, what can I say? Nothing, I have no excuse. Life just gets in the way. Well I've changed my banner, not to sure if it goes with the background, but I liked it and that is all that matters right now.

I have a couple of pages to share, I made these using My Digitial Studio from Stampin' Up!. This is a new product available now. It's real easy to use. These pages are did where pretty basic. I'm not a very good scrapper but I'm trying. Without further ado, here they are.

The first one is a 12 x12, as you can see it from July 4th 2006. I'm just a little behind in my pictures.

This next one is an 8 x 8 page. This is also from July 2006, this was from our first trip to mammoth for the canoe races.
I have some more things to add, but I've got to get myself and house cleaned up.
Have a great day.

Wow, I've been gone for a while. Time just speeds right on by when your not looking.
When I agreed to become more involved with scouting for my two boys I never knew it was going to take over my life. I don't mind so much, but with my hubbies schedule it sometimes makes housework impossible. With that I mean, you know laundry, maybe shopping for food, you know little things. And of course no time for stamping. I did manage to sneak in 2 cards this last week. One was a graduation card for #2 son, who graduated from 6th grade and the other was for my hubby for fathers day. I haven't taken pictures to share yet. They were those "OH! I need a card and I have to leave in 30 minutes" cards. I'm sure if I had managed my time a little better I would have been a little happier with the outcome. But hey the receipents loved them and I suppose that's all that matters.

Well this was a short little post to let you know I'm still here, and to breakup my work day.
Until later.

Life's Simple Pleasures

I've been playing with digital scrapbooking lately. Here are some pages I completed. I'm just starting to figure out photoshop elements 7. Now to find more elements to attach to the pages.

Hope you like them, I think they turned out pretty good.

These pictures are from 2006, Garrett had school project where he had to do a report on the city of Fountain Valley. We spent the day visiting various places in the city.

We started at the hospital that Garrett was born at, then made our way to City Hall. We also visited Boomers a miniature golf course with go carts, batting cages, bumper boats, etc.

Emmett needed to be in the pictures with Garrett. They look so cute together, if only they stayed that way.

The last place we visited was Miles Square Park, the park has a couple of big lakes and concrete canals connecting the lakes together. The boys had to jump across the canals because they were there.

There are sidewalks that wind up and down and all around the lake. We rented a pedal bike for a couple of hours. We were a sight the four of us pedaling all over the place. The boys had a great time riding that pedal bike, they thought is was the greatest thing. As the title says, Life's Simple Pleasures.

Until later,
Enjoy Life's Simple Pleasures.

Yes I am Alive

This has been a very busy last couple of weeks. My oldest son turned 16 on last Thursday, my middle son went camping this weekend for scouts and my youngest son had his Blue and Gold Banquet for cub scouts. Getting ready for all this has kept me very busy. Between my oldest and his school baseball, and my other two in scouts there hasn't been much time for me to stamp. But I do have a few things to share. 1st is the card I made for my oldest son's birthday. I thought it turned out really cool and my son's response when he opened it confirmed it, by his "COOOL".

I made this card with almost everything retired from Stampin'Up!. The sets I used are Catchin Air, So Cool, Collage Alphabet Numbers and In the Stars. The card was made with pacific point, going gray and some very old designer paper, I think it was one of our first and some silver star brads from a hodgepod set. I stamped directly on the designer paper in pacific point ink. I stamped the snowboarder 1st, then masked it and stamped the dude on top of it.

He just learned to snowboard this winter and he is hooked. His dad and a couple of guys from hubbies work took him snowboarding for his birthday. Since they went on a Thursday there were no crowds which was a good thing as there was a constant snowball fight on the lifts.

That same evening Wyatt received an award from school for outstanding academic achievement. This is about one of the only times he let us take his picture. His biology teacher nominated him for this award. He is the only student to have an A+ in the class.

Now for the other two who have kept me just as busy. Garrett had a camp out this weekend for boy scouts and he was one of the many cooks for this outing. Since he was a cook he needed to do the shopping also. Well you know who had to take him, that's right me. This was an experience, to say the least, now mind you every Monday night Wyatt has the fire explorer program he goes to, he needs to be there by 5:30 pm, my youngest son is a cub scout where I am the den leader, we need to be at our meeting by 6:30 pm. and Garrett has scouts on Wednesday nights were he needs to be there by 7:00pm., now on Tuesday nights is my weight watchers meeting at 6:00pm which gets bumped if I'm needed someway else. As you can see I don't have much free time during the week and much less during the weekends as there is always something scout related.

Now back to this shopping, we were to meet at the store at 7:00pm this last Thursday, we didn't get out of the store until 9:00pm, from there they had to go pack the food in the bins they use for their outings. We got home at 10:00pm. Friday we meet at 6:30pm to leave for the outing. I was a driver so I got home about 9:30pm, luckily it was close by. Now on Saturday was my younger son's Blue and Gold Banquet, our pack as been in existence for 50 years so it was a big deal. We were there from 3:30 pm, to help set up until 9:00 pm when it ended. Here are a few pictures from our Blue and Gold.

Thank you for lasting this long. And since you did I have another item for your viewing pleasure.
I made these for our monthly Bunco meeting.

These were so easy to make, spiltcoaststampers has so many great tutorials.

Now I'm off to finish the laundry, vacuum and then find time to do a little of the work I brought home from work. Next week should be a little lighter I will be down one son. My middle son will be off to science camp for a week. That should free up one night to Stamp, I Hope I Hope.

Until then,
Thanks for stopping by.

New Stuff

Woohoo!! I finally got my photoshop software and am able to upload some of my new cards. Since has been awhile since I've stamped I was getting impatient about these new cards I stamped. I thought they turned out pretty good.

So here is what I did. The first card I made for my hubby, he has been working a lot of overtime, when I made this card he was going to be gone for 3 days. Isn't it cute, my inspiration came from Beate, she makes such great cards. The stamp set is Owl Together Now, the saying I made from my Karen Foster Snap Stamps. The card size is a 4.25 inch square. I used some baja breeze textured card stock I had on hand and shara sand, and the new riding hood red

He's going to be gone for another 3 days starting Sunday so I better get going on another card.

I also made a thank you card for a very dear friend, she was nice enough to place an order on line.
I hope she likes it, I made it at the same time as my owl card so the layout is very similar. I used the always set and a new hostess set, a little something for the saying. Both cards used SU double sided paper, but I don't know which ones I used. I have a bad habit of hoarding it and then don't remember its name, most likely they are both retired. I had a blue theme going that day, but all in all I was very happy with how they both turned out.

Until later, thanks for stopping by.
